Create Profile Using Resource Group and Permission Group

Prerequisites

  1. Only users with Global Admin profile can create a profile in Global Settings > Profile Management.
  2. Resource Group needs to be created and preconfigured before adding it to a profile.
  3. One Permission Group and Resource Group(s) need to be assigned to create a profile.
  4. Once a profile is created, the profile needs to be assigned to the user for profile control to take effect.

Steps to Create Profile

  1. Click on Global Settings on the top right hand corner.
  2. Select Profile Management in Global Settings menu.
  3. Click +Create New to create new profile.
  4. Enter a name in Profile Name.
  5. Give access to Workload Protection or Container Protection by turning off one of them or keep both of them on to give access to both.
  6. Click Permission Group drop down menu to select a permission group.
  7. Click Resource Group to select a preconfigured resource group.
  8. Repeat step#6-7 for both Container Protection or Workload Protection as needed.
  9. Click Create New Profile to finish.
