Restart the FortiGate unit. You can also optionally add a message that will appear in a log indicating the reason for the reboot. If the message is more than one word it must be enclosed in quotes.

Abruptly powering off your FortiGate unit may corrupt its configuration. Using the execute reboot and execute shutdown commands ensures proper shutdown procedures are followed to prevent any loss of configuration.

Syntax

execute reboot  Reboot now.
        comment   comment
            {string}   Reboot comments.
