Transceiver information on FortiOS GUI 6.2.1

This feature adds the Transceiver column in various tables in the GUI. The Transceiver column shows information about transceivers plugged into the FortiGate, including the vendor name and part number. You can hover over the transceiver to view additional information, such as the type, serial number, and port name.

To view the Transceiver column in the Interfaces table:
  1. Go to Network > Interfaces. The Transceiver column is visible in the table, which displays the transceiver vendor name and part number.
  2. Hover your mouse over a transceiver in the table. More information appears about the transceiver, including the:
    • Type
    • Vendor name
    • Part number
    • Serial number
    • Port name (Interface)

To view the transceivers plugged into FortiSwitch:
  1. Go to WiFi & Switch Controller > FortiSwitch Ports. The Transceiver column is visible in the table, which displays the transceiver vendor name and part number.
  2. Hover your mouse over a transceiver in the table. More information appears about the transceiver, including the:
    • Type
    • Vendor name
    • Part number
    • Serial number
    • FortiSwitch serial number
    • Port name (Interface)

To view the transceivers plugged in using the CLI:
