Support for wtp profiles 6.2.4

FortiOS 6.2.4 supports wtp profiles in FortiAP model FAP231E.

To view the default wtp profile in the GUI:
  1. Go to WiFi & Switch Controller > FortAP Profiles, and click Create New. The New FortiAP Profile window opens.
  2. From the Platform dropdown, select FAP231E.
    • Platform mode is set to Single 5G by default.
    • Dedicated Scan is enabled by default.
    • Radio 1: The Band is 2.4G. Mode can be set to Disabled or Access Point.
    • Radio 2: The Band is 5G. Mode can be set to Disabled or Access Point.
    • Radio 3: Mode can be set to Disabled or Access Point.

  3. With Platform Mode set to Single 5G, disable Dedicated Scan.
    • Radio 1: The Band is 2.4G. Mode can be set to Disabled, Access Point, or Dedicated Monitor.
    • Radio 2: The Band is 5G. Mode can be set to Disabled, Access Point, or Dedicated Monitor.
    • Radio 3: Mode can be set to Disabled or Dedicated Monitor.

  4. Set Platform Mode to Dual 5G, and disable Dedicated Scan.
    • Radio 1: Channels 149-165 are enabled. Mode can be set to Disabled, Access Point, or Dedicated Monitor.
    • Radio 2: Channels 36-48 are enabled. Mode can be set to Disabled, Access Point, or Dedicated Monitor.
    • Radio 3: The Band is 2.4GHz. Mode can be set to Disabled or Dedicated Monitor.

  5. With Platform mode set to Dual 5G mode, enable Dedicated scan.
    • Radio 1: Channels 149-165 are enabled. Mode can be set to Disabled, Access Point, or Dedicated Monitor.
    • Radio 2: Channels 36-48 are enabled. Mode can be set to Disabled, Access Point, or Dedicated Monitor.
    • Radio 3: Mode can be set to Disabled or Dedicated Monitor.

FortiOS 6.2.4 supports wtp profiles in FortiAP model FAP231E.

To view the default wtp profile in the GUI:
