Introduction

This document provides comprehensive information on all of the features available in FortiNAC that are used to enforce network usage policies, monitor specific events, and automatically take actions. When FortiNAC recognizes an event, it takes the defined action, and logs both for tracking purposes.

Configuration using the Administration User Interface of individual FortiNAC components, such as groups and scheduled actions, are included. Components and configurations viewed/modified through the Administration UI and the last known state of those components are stored in the FortiNAC’s mysql database. Passwords are encrypted.

Device integration information is provided on the Fortinet Documentation Library.

The Requirements section defines the host requirements for the FortiNAC administrator. Refer to and Dashboard topics to get started.
