Block browser upload

Block browser upload

Requirements: Windows, macOS, or Linux, with the FortiDLP Browser Extension.

Note

Upload blocking by URL is supported on all OSs, however, upload blocking by content inspection (CI) is only supported on Windows and macOS. Chromium-based browsers are required for CI upload blocking with FortiDLP Agent versions earlier than 8.6.0.

Tighten your control over users' browser uploads with the block browser upload action.

This policy-initiated action allows the FortiDLP Agent to intercept uploads based on the file contents, such as a credit card number or social security number, the file extension, or the file's Microsoft Information Protection label. The block browser upload action also allows the Agent to block uploads to prohibited URLs.
