Block browser download
Requirements: Windows, macOS, or Linux, with the FortiDLP Browser Extension.
With the block browser download action, the FortiDLP Agent can stop dangerous and unauthorized browser downloads.
This policy-initiated action enables the Agent to block users from downloading:
- malicious executables and scripts
- files containing sensitive or prohibited content
- files from unauthorized URLs
- files from IP addresses
- and more.

Where download blocking is enabled for a policy template that uses content inspection and/or prohibits certain file extensions, downloads will be permitted but then immediately deleted. |
