Duplicating operator roles

Duplicating operator roles

To save time, you can duplicate operator roles. When you duplicate a role, you create a new role based upon another, which you can then modify as needed.

How to duplicate an operator role
  1. In the FortiDLP Console, on the left-hand sidebar, click .
  2. Under Authentication, select the Roles tab.
  3. In the All roles table, click the row of the relevant operator role.
  4. In the role panel, click> Duplicate.

  5. In the Duplicate role dialog box, do the following:
    1. In the Name field, type a unique name for the new role.
      Note

      The role will not be created if you supply a Name that is already in use.

    2. Click Duplicate role.
  6. In the panel of the duplicated role, do the following:
    1. Update the properties as needed. For detailed information about roles, see Creating operator roles.
    2. Click Save changes.
