Creating custom labels

Creating custom labels

You can create custom labels to classify groups of users and managed nodes. Then, you can enable policies and Agent functionality for these groups.

Example

For example, you could create department-specific labels and assign them to users in your sales, finance, and HR departments. You could then configure and publish department-specific policy groups.

How to create a custom label
  1. In the FortiDLP Console, on the left-hand sidebar, click .
  2. Under Agents or Users, select the Labels tab.
  3. Click Create new custom label.
  4. In the Create a new custom label dialog box, do the following:
    1. In the Name field, type the label name.
    2. In the Description field, type a label description.
    3. To flag the label to highlight entities of interest, turn the Flag label toggle on. For details about this functionality, see Flagging labels.
    4. To pseudonymize the label value, turn the Pseudonymize label toggle on. For details about this functionality, see Operator roles.
    5. Click Save.

After you create a custom label, you must assign it to the relevant users and nodes. For details, see Assigning custom labels.
