Editing labels

Editing labels

You can easily edit the properties of a custom, directory, or automatic label by following these steps.

How to edit a label
  1. In the FortiDLP Console, on the left-hand sidebar, click .
  2. Under Agents or Users, select the Labels tab.
  3. In the Labels table, on the row of the relevant label, click> Edit.
  4. Tooltip

    You can filter labels by their type, pseudonymize value, and flagged status. Just click a column name, select the relevant checkboxes, and then click Apply.

  5. In the Edit label dialog box, do the following:
    1. Modify the label name and description, flag, and/or pseudonymize value as needed.
      Note

      You cannot modify an automatic label's name or an Entra ID directory label's name.

      Also, to modify a LDAP directory label's name, you must edit the related directory label mapping in your configuration file and then sync your directory using the LDAP Sync Tool. Note that any unwanted, previously generated directory labels will require deleting after the sync. For instructions, see Deleting labels.

    2. Click Save.

  5. In the Edit label dialog box, do the following:
    1. Modify the label name and description, flag, and/or pseudonymize value as needed.
