Duplicating assets

Instead of recreating similar assets from scratch, you can duplicate an existing one—reusing some of the existing values and modifying those you wish to change.

Custom and OOB assets can be duplicated. However, if you duplicate an OOB asset, the copy will be created as a custom asset.

How to duplicate a custom asset

1. In the FortiDLP Console, on the left-hand sidebar, click .
2. Select the Policy assets tab.
3. On the row of the relevant asset, click> Duplicate.
   
4. Click the duplicated asset's name. It will display with the previous asset name, appended with (Copy).
5. Edit the configuration as needed, referring to Creating custom assets for detailed, asset type-specific instructions.
6. Click Save changes.
