Upgrade device firmware by groups
You can use groups to organize devices and determine which devices need firmware upgrades. This gives you more insight and control when managing a large number of devices.
To upgrade the firmware for a grouped device:

In the navigation bar, click Group.
The Group page loads.

In the list of groups, click the group you want to upgrade the device firmware for.
The Group Detail page loads.

From the list of devices in the group, select the checkbox for each device you want to upgrade.
You can select multiple devices at once.

At the top of the page, click Upgrade.
The Upgrade Configuration window loads.

Select when you want to apply the upgrade.
- Now: Upgrade the device now.
- Scheduled date and time: Select a later time to schedule your upgrade. You can view and edit your scheduled upgrade from the Scheduled Upgrade tab.

From the drop-down lists, select which OS or modem firmware you want to upgrade the device to. You can also a upload a firmware file from your local machine.

Click Upgrade.
FortiExtender Cloud schedules the upgrades of the selected devices.
Upgrading a device's OS or modem firmware causes the device to reboot.
