Upgrading FortiEDR components

This section describes how to upgrade the components in the FortiEDR system.

Upgrading to a newer build number (major.minor.patch.build) can be done in any order. However, upgrading to newer major/minor versions (major.minor.patch.build) should be done top-down in the following order:

1. Creating snapshots of components
2. Upgrading the Central Manager
3. Upgrading the Aggregator
4. Determining the upgrade method for a Threat Hunting Repository

5. Upgrade the Threat Hunting Repository server using one of the following methods based on the outcome of the previous step:

   • Upgrading the Threat Hunting Repository
   • Adding a second server to upgrade the Threat Hunting Repository
6. Upgrading the Core
7. Upgrading the Collector
