Add users to your account via FortiMonitor

There are three ways to add users to FortiMonitor depending on when your FortiMonitor account was created. Accounts created prior to September 15, 2024 are treated as legacy accounts.

The following table describes the different methods:

Method	Account type	Description
Create FortiCloud users from FortiMonitor	New accounts	Add FortiCloud users directly from FortiMonitor. For new customers, FortiCloud users can be added from the FortiMonitor control panel.
Add users using FortiMonitor	Legacy accounts	Add users using the FortiMonitor control panel. These users will only exist in the region where they are created.
Sync users from FortiCloud	Legacy accounts	Add users created via FortiCloud to FortiMonitor. A discovery process is ran nightly to sync users created in FortiCloud to FortiMonitor. You can also manually sync users to create the users immediately.
