Setting aside alerts

Setting aside alerts

When a large number of alert notifications are generated in a short time, a background process is triggered to set aside these notifications, preventing end users from being flooded with notifications. This is primarily due to throttling limitations that can occur with services like SMS, Slack, and Teams. Additionally, generating emails at scale may cause temporary interruptions from the service provider, as the volume could be flagged as spam-like behavior. This process ensures that new incidents still trigger notifications. Note that this only affects alert notifications, not the incidents themselves.
