Remotely access a managed FortiGate
You can remotely connect to managed FortiGate devices through the FortiManager Device Manager.
To remotely access to the FOS GUI:

Go to System Settings > Admin Profiles and enable the Remote GUI Access option for an Admin Profile.
Remote GUI Access is enabled for the Super_User profile by default. The setting is disabled for newly created profiles but can be manually enabled. -
Log in as a user with Remote GUI Access permission.

Go to Device Manager > Device & Groups, right-click on a managed FortiGate, and the Remote Access option appears in the context menu.

Click Remote Access. You are redirected to the FortiGate's login page using the following URL:
<FMG IP>:<8082>. -
Enter your FortiGate login credentials to access the FortiGate.
To change the port used for remote access:

Go to System Settings > Settings.

Change the port number in the Access Remote GUI via Port setting. The default port used is
8082. -
Click Apply.

When configuring the port used for remote access, FortiManager reserved ports cannot be used. See the FortiManager Ports document for more information. |
