Using the PasswordRecovery tool
If the EMS built-in administrator password is forgotten, a super administrator cannot access EMS. In this case, you can use the PasswordRecovery tool.
To use the PasswordRecovery tool:

On the EMS machine, go to
/opt/forticlientems/bin. -
Run
./PasswordRecovery. -
Enter
yesto proceed. This resets the password for the built-in admin user and generates a temporary password. -
Log in to EMS as admin and enter the temporary password.

EMS prompts you to create a new user. Create a new user and password, then click Submit.
