Adding DID numbers
You can add a direct inward dialing (DID) number to allow users to call external numbers in the PSTN (public switched telephone network) or PLMN (public land mobile network).
During the FortiVoice Cloud deployment, you added at least one DID number. You can add more.
You can add a DID number with or without adding the emergency zone information. |
To add a DID number
- Go to FortiVoice Cloud > Trunks > DID Management.
- Click +.
- Configure the following:

Description
DID Basic Information
Name
Enter a name for this DID number.
Description
Optionally, add a description for this DID number.
Display name
You can add a descriptive name for this DID.
The DID display name is the caller ID name that displays on the person’s phone that you are calling.
FortiVoice Cloud uses this display name only when the DID is set as the main DID.
DID Numbers - Search by location
If you want to search DID numbers by the location, then enter details about country, state or province, call rate center or city, and number in the appropriate fields.
DID Numbers - Search by area code
If you want to search DID numbers by the area code, then click Search by area code and enter the area code.
Emergency Zone
If you want to add emergency zone information, do the following:
- Select Add an emergency zone for this DID.
- Enter details in the emergency zone fields.
- Complete the address validation by clicking Validate Emergency Zone.
- Review and select the suggested address.
- Click Submit.
