Email settings
- Click System > Settings.
- Expand the System Communication folder.
- Select Email Settings from the tree.
- Use the table below to enter the necessary settings.
- Click Save Settings.
Note: This feature can also be accessed in Network > Service Connectors > Create New > Email Server

Email Server |
Server used to send email notifications. |
Sender Email |
Email address that appears as the sender in email sent from FortiNAC Manager. You may want to configure an alias for this email address to better inform the recipient that the message is being sent from FortiNAC Manager. |
Authentication |
If enabled, you must enter the user name and password for the email account used as the sender account. |
User Name |
User Name for the email account used as the sender account. |
Password |
Password for the email account used as the sender account. |
Port |
Port used for communication with the email server. This must match the port setting on the email server itself. |
Connection Security |
Used to encrypt email communication between the FortiNAC Manager server and the email server. This setting must match the setting configured on your email server. Options are: None, SSL/TLS or STARTTLS. |
Always Send as Sender Email |
If turned off, contextual e-mail addresses will be used, such as sending as the sponsor of a guest. |
Advanced |
When enabled, displays the SMTP Timeout and SMTP Connection Timeout fields. |
SMTP Timeout |
Defines how long FortiNAC Manager will wait if the flow of data has stalled before it fails. |
SMTP Connection Timeout |
Lets you define the amount of time allowed to connect to the email server before it fails. |
Test Email Settings |
Send a test message to the email address entered in the test settings. |
