Subnet Management

Subnet Management

Subnet Management can be divided into two main groups. All the subnets allocated and are in use by FortiGate interface are shown as FGT source status, they are automatically updated to Reported by FortiGate group folder.

The rest of the subnet group folders are for you to collect and organize other subnets not to be used by FortiGate interface within your organization, these subnets are marked as User source status. You may organize your subnets by moving them between the subnet group folders.

Move Subnets

To move subnet(s) between subnet group folders, follow the steps below.

  1. Go to the target subnet group folder which the target subnets located at.
  2. Click on the select check box to select the targeted subnet(s).
  3. Click MOVE button, then click on Choose Destination drop down menu to select a subnet group folder to move the subnet(s) to.
  4. Click Move Subnets to finish moving the subnets to the destination group folder.
The subnets in Reported by FortiGate group folder cannot be moved to other subnet group folders.

Delete Subnets

Subnets can be deleted when no longer needed and can be made available for reserving subnets for FortiGate auto allocation.

Please note that the subnets in Reported by FortiGate group folder can not be deleted.

To delete subnet(s), follow the steps below.

  1. Click on the subnet group folder where the target subnet(s) are located at.
  2. Click the select check boxes to select the subnet(s) to be deleted.
  3. Click DELETE button to finish deleting the subnet(s).
