Deploying FortiGuest on Linux KVM.
Follow this procedure to create and configure FortiGuest on the Linux KVM server.
- Create a new virtual machine. Enter the name of the VM and select Import existing disk image. Click Forward.
- Select the image file (.tar) and set the OS type as Linux. CentOS version 7.0 is recommended as depicted in this image. Click Forward.
- Enter the Memory (RAM) size and the number of CPUs. The minimum required RAM is 4GB and the number of CPUs is 4. Click Forward.
- Enter the Name of the new VM and select Customize configuration before install. Retain the other default settings. Click Forward.
- Click Add Hardware to create a new hard disk. Enter the required disk size (minimum 500 GB) and select the Device type. Set the Bus type to SCSI.
- Click Begin Installation. The installation process may take 5-10 minutes (approximately) and appear to pause at times. FortiGuest is successfully installed when the login prompt appears.
