When a custom configuration is required in a highly scalable environment or when one type of bulk configuration must be pushed to hundreds of similar devices, the situation could benefit from the SD-WAN templates available with FortiManager. The following options can help further scale the SD-WAN solution and improve user experience:

SD-WAN templates: SD-WAN templates are useful when configuring SD-WAN for one or more devices, especially when deploying a single template to multiple devices, when performing Zero-Touch deployments, or when rolling out a uniform SD-WAN configuration across an SD-WAN region. CLI templates: CLI templates are useful to push bulk configurations to similar devices. You can create CLI template groups of multiple CLI scripts, and then assign the CLI template group to devices, instead of assigning individual scripts to devices.
