Fortinet recommended templates (FortiManager 7.0.2)

All provisioning templates within FortiManager are designed to help users quickly and efficiently create complex environments. Most SD-WAN related templates are available under Device Manager > Provisioning Templates in FortiManager. SD-WAN templates can help create large environments with complex routing and IPsec configurations. They can also provide high scalability, support multi-region hubs, and include centrally managed SD-WAN rules and firewall policies. Following are SD-WAN related provisioning templates:

• IPsec tunnel templates: Provisioning IPsec tunnels to FortiGate devices using an IPsec template allows you to save an IPsec VPN configuration and apply it to one or more FortiGates or reuse the same configuration as needed. IPsec tunnel interfaces can be specifically named using supported meta fields, and the tunnel interfaces may later be mapped to normalized interfaces or used in firewall policies and SD-WAN widgets. • BGP templates: Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) templates let you provision BGP settings across multiple FortiGate devices within SD-WAN regions. For more information about BGP templates, see FortiManager Administration Guide.
