Support for Lua Scripting with HTTP/3 (8.0.0)
FortiWeb 8.0.0 introduces support for Lua scripting in HTTP/3 client connections. This enhancement allows Lua scripts to be applied consistently across HTTP/1.1, HTTP/2, and HTTP/3 traffic, enabling unified handling of custom logic such as request modification, access control, and logging behaviors regardless of protocol version.
Lua scripts now execute as expected when applied to server policies or profiles that accept HTTP/3 traffic over QUIC. No additional configuration is required beyond enabling HTTP/3 support in the virtual server.
Note: Some functionality remain unsupported in HTTP/3 due to QUIC protocol constraints. For the latest list of limitations, see HTTP/3 Service Limitations: .
