VPN

FortiProxy supports site-to-site IPsec VPN, which allows offices in multiple, fixed locations to establish secure connections with each other over a public network such as the Internet. One use case is branch offices using the Internet to access the main office's intranet. To achieve this, you can install a FortiProxy unit on a private branch network and another on the headquarter network.

Instead of remotely logging on to a private network using an unencrypted and insecure Internet connection, the use of a VPN ensures that unauthorized parties cannot access the office network and cannot intercept any of the information that is exchanged between the branch offices and the headquarter office.
