Line Graph
Use the Line Graph widget to visually represent a time series-based trend of metrics. Metrics can be for a single instance or spread across multiple instances. Like most widgets, you can scope the results to specific instances and metrics using a variety of filtering options.
Select the time range for the trendline and optional lines for comparison to the same time yesterday, last week, or last month. Also, you have options for controlling the X-axis legend formatting and other graph features, like crosshairs and graph points.
Use case
The Line Graph widget is useful when:
-
Identifying performance trends
-
Comparing period over period performance
Examples
HTTP response time comparison
In this example, the line graph displays the aggregated HTTP response time values of all Linux servers. The dotted line represents the historical value of the selected metric.
