Creating a single Model Device
To create a Model Device interactively:

Go to Device Manager > Device & Groups, and click Add Device > Add Model Device:

Fill in the following details:

Description
Name
Device name (e.g. hostname).
Link Device By
Chosen onboarding method. Fill in either Serial Number or Pre-shared Key.
Use Device Blueprint
Enable this option and select the right Device Blueprint.

Click Edit Variable Mapping and set the necessary variables. The following screenshot illustrates the variables mandatory for site1-1 in our example project:

Click Next to complete the Model Device creation.
The new Model Device will appear in the right Device Group, and it will have the Template Group and the Policy Package assigned to it, according to the chosen Device Blueprint:
