API users

You can create API Users in FortiCloud to grant access to FortiCloud services through the API. You can configure a FortiCloud API user for API access to SOCaaS.

To create a FortiCloud API user for SOCaaS:

1. Log on to FortiCloud and go to Services > IAM.
2. Create a permission profile for SOCaaS. See Creating a permission profile.
3. Create a new API user using the permission profile that includes SOCaaS. See Adding an API user.

4. Download the API user credentials.

   1. Click Download Credentials.

   2. Enter your account password, and click Proceed.

5. Request an authorization token. See Authorization in the FortiCloud Identity & Access Management (IAM) guide.

6. Access FortiAPIs for SOCaaS on the Fortinet Developer Network (FNDN) under FortiAPI > Cloud Platforms > SOCaaS.
