Customizing virtual hardware settings with VMware vSphere

After OVF is deployed on VM, you may adjust hardware configuration according to your unique needs.

To configure virtual hardware settings:
  1. In the vSphere Client, select the VM from the tree menu in the left pane.
  2. In the VM Hardware pane, click Edit Settings....

    The Edit Settings dialog displays.

  3. Adjust the hardware settings according to your needs.
    Note

    CPU and Memory can be adjusted upward or downward.

    However, Hard disk sizes can only be adjusted upward.

    Caution

    All VM instances, including the Controller, require identical hardware spec in terms of CPU, RAM, and Disk size in a FortiAnalyzer-BigData-VM cluster.

  4. After the hardware adjustments are complete, click OK to save the changes.
