The following tables in the FortiNAC Data Sheet are guidelines to determine the most appropriate FortiNAC server for a customer's environment:

  • Hardware Server Sizing

  • VM Server Resource Sizing

The criteria used is the total number of ports in the network. If an environment grows beyond the max number of ports specified for a particular server, performance issues can occur due to CPU and memory allocation. In such cases, the FortiNAC system resources should be re-evaluated.

Administrators can utilize tools within the FortiNAC UI to monitor performance. See Monitoring for more details.

Certain performance-related parameters are modifiable. See Tuning for more details.
