Establish Security Fabric Connection

Follow the instructions in the appropriate FortiGate/FortiOS Administration Guide below to integrate over the Fortinet Security Fabric. FortiNAC sends tags to the FortiGate over the Security Fabric to provision network access.

Connection Methods

(Legacy) FSSO (Fortinet Single Sign-On) firewall tags

  • FortiOS v6.0.5 and greater

  • FortiNAC v8.7.2 and greater

(Recommended) FortiNAC tag dynamic address (REST API)

  • FortiOS v7.2* and greater

  • FortiNAC v9.2.2 and greater

*The FortiNAC tags connector under Security Fabric > Fabric Connectors has been deprecated. For upgrade support, the FSSO FortiNAC user type can still be configured in the CLI if required. See KB article 255138.

Add FortiNAC to the Security Fabric. See Security Fabric Connection in the Administration Guide for instructions.
