Portal SSL (v7.2.4 and above)

Portal SSL (v7.2.4 and above)

Use this view to configure the security access level and the fully qualified host name for the portal pages presented to users when their devices or hosts are isolated from the network.

Requires installing SSL certificate to the Portal certificate target. This can be either a certificate from a public or private Certificate Authority (CA) (recommended) or a self-signed certificate. For details, seeServer certificates.

SSL Mode

Valid SSL Certificate: When web traffic reaches the captive portal, it is redirected from port 80 to port 443 and presents a SSL certificate to the user.

Fully Qualified Host Name

The fully qualified name used for portal access. Can be the fully qualified name of the appliance or some other name.

Requirement: Must match the Subject Name or a Subject Alternative Name secured with the SSL certificate installed in the Portal Certificate Target.
