Configuring SD-WAN for internal traffic
After you have configured the overlay and tunnel routes, enable and configure SD-WAN for central management.
Configuring SD-WAN for internal traffic involves the following steps:
- Enable SD-WAN central management. See Enabling SD-WAN central management.
- Configure normalized interfaces. See Configuring normalized interfaces .
- Configure SD-WAN interfaces. See Configuring SD-WAN interface members.
- Create a loopback interface to use as a health-check server. See Creating a loopback interface.
- Create a health check server for the loopback interface. See Creating health check servers.
- Create SD-WAN templates. See Creating SD-WAN templates for branches.
- Add SD-WAN rules to SD-WAN templates. See Configuring SD-WAN rules.
SD-WAN rules define how traffic flows in the network.
- Configure firewall policies. See Configuring firewall policies.
Firewall policies define whether traffic is permitted to flow and how to inspect flowing traffic.
- Disable stateful inspection on hubs. See Disabling stateful inspection on hubs.
