system appearance

Use this command to customize the appearance of the GUI for administrators and FortiMail webmail users.

Syntax

Variable	Description	Default
admin-sso-login-option {normal \| sso-only}	Select which authentication methods to show on the GUI login page for administrators: `normal`: Show both the username and password fields, and a single sign-on (SSO) link. `sso-only`: Show only the SSO link. Caution: If you select this option, then the account named `admin` will not be able to log into the GUI; they must use SSH or local console access instead. Therefore this option can only be changed by administrators with the `super_admin_prof` permissions profile. To authenticate each administrator, FortiMail uses the remote servers (if any) selected in auth-strategy {cloud \| ldap \| local \| pki \| radius \| sso}.	normal
comment <comment_str>	Optional comment for the system appearance.
customized-login-status {enable \| disable}	Enable to edit a graphic that will appear at the top of all webmail pages. The image’s dimensions must be 314 pixels wide by 36 pixels tall.	disable
fallback-charset <language_name>	Enter the fallback character set for email that are not RFC 2047 compliant .	english
login-page-language <language_name>	Enter the default language for the display of the login page of the GUI. To view a list of languages, enter a question mark ( `?` ). Note: The setting only affects the login page, not the entire GUI.	english
login-page-theme {IndigoDarkBlue \| RedGrey \| Standard}	Enter the default display color theme of the login page.
product <product‑name_str>	Enter the text that will precede ‘Administrator Login’ on the login page.	FortiMail
webmail-help-status {enable \| disable)	Enable to display the help button in the webmail interface. The default webmail help contents are provided by Fortinet.	enable
webmail-help-url "<url_str>"	If you want to provide your own custom help to webmail users, enter the URL of the help file.
webmail-lang <language_name>	Enter the name of a language in English, such as `'French'`, that will be used when an email user initially logs in to FortiMail webmail. The email user may switch the display language in their preferences; this affects only the initial state of the display. Available language names vary by whether or not you have installed additional language resource files.	English
webmail-login "<login_str>"	Enter a word or phrase that will appears at the top of the webmail login page, such as `Webmail Login`.	Login
webmail-login-hint "<hint_str>"	Enter a hint for the user name. This hint will appear when you hover the mouse cursor over the login name field.	address
webmail-sort-option {order-received \| time-received}	Select how webmail will sort email: `order-received`: Sorted by the order in which emails are delivered to the mailbox folder. `time-received`: Sorted by the time that emails are received by the mail server.	time-received
