    Installing the Plugin on Thunderbird

    1. In Thunderbird, go to Tools > Add-ons > Extensions.

    2. Click on the configuration button and select Install Add-On from File....

    3. Choose the .xpi file that you downloaded from the Fortinet Support site and click Install.

    4. Restart Thunderbird.

    5. Now, when you compose a new email, you will see a Secure Send button. To send secure email, you use the Secure Send button instead of the Send button.

    6. After this email is sent, it will automatically have an “X-Fe-Sensitivity: Confidential” email header. On FortiMail, you can create a content profile to do Content Monitor scan for “X-Fe-Sensitivity: Confidential” in the email header to trigger IBE encryption.
