Configuring Encryption on FortiMail

Now that you have installed the encryption plugin on Outlook or Thunderbird, you must configure a FortiMail to scan for the keyword in the email header for email encryption.

1. Edit a dictionary profile to add keyword pattern “x-fe-sensitivity: confidential”, enable “Search header”, and choose pattern type as Wildcard.

   

2. Edit Content Monitor and Filtering and apply the dictionary profile.

   

3. Add a recipient policy and apply the content_encrypt content profile. Now the email sent with the Outlook or Thunderbird plugin will be encrypted.
