What's new in FortiIsolator version 2.3.1

What's new in FortiIsolator version 2.3.1

FortiIsolator version 2.3.1 includes the following new features:

Support for FortiIsolator running on Amazon Web Service (AWS) for standalone system
Support for proxychain in communication with FDN server
New implementation on license management
New implementation on certificate management
Note

Since the recent implementation on license management, the same license cannot be used in more than one system. If this happens, only the first system will have valid licensing; all other systems will be detected as invalid licensing.

The same license can be used in the other system under certain circumstances. The system that currently holds the valid license has to stop using the license, by either turn off the system, or disconnecting from the network. Furthermore, there is a 90-minute waiting period for the upcoming system to pick up the same license after the first system turns off or disconnects from the network. Only one system can pick up the same license at a time.

Known issue and workaround

This is a known issue (Mantis 0737785) on using the same license in multiple system installations. The upcoming system may not be able to pick up the license as valid.

To work around this issue, after a 90-minute waiting period, if the upcoming system still has an invalid license, reboot the system; the system will be detected as valid licensing upon being restarted.

For more information about new features, see the FortiIsolator Administration Guide.
