Preference tab

Preference tab

Use the System > Settings > Access tab to configure ports, single sign-on, SCIM, and password security.

To configure the Preference tab:
  1. Go to System > Settings > Preference. The Preference tab is displayed.

  2. Under Workflow management, configure the following options:

    Configuration save mode

    • Automatic: Automatically saves configuration changes.

    • Manual: Stage configuration changes and save them once you are ready.

    • Revert: Pending configuration changes are reverted after the configured number of seconds.

    Policy change summary

    Enable/disable policy change summary. Enable and choose:

    • Require: A change summary is required.

    • Optional: A change summary is optional.

    When enabled, enforcement is only applied in the GUI.

    Policies expire by default

    Enable/disable policy expiration.

    Expire after

    When Policies expire by default is enabled, specify how many days to retain the policy before it expires.

  3. Under Language, select the language for the FortiOS GUI and CLI. See Setting the FortiOS language.

  4. Under Theme, set System theme to a color theme. You can also create custom themes. See Setting GUI color themes NEW.

  5. Click Apply to save the changes.
