What's new in FortiOS 7.0.6

The following new Hardware Acceleration features have been added in FortiOS 7.0.6:

  • FortiOS 7.0.6 includes main branch support for FortiGates with NP7 processors and hyperscale firewall features (FortiGate-1800F, FortiGate-1801F, FortiGate-2600F, FortiGate-2601F, FortiGate-3500F, FortiGate-3501F, FortiGate-4200F, FortiGate-4201F, FortiGate-4400F, and FortiGate-4401F). Previous versions of FortiOS supported FortiGates with NP7 processors through special branch firmware builds.

  • FortiGates with NP7 processors can now use nTurbo to offload SSL mirror sessions for firewall policies that use flow-based inspection, see NTurbo offloads flow-based processing.

  • You can enable or disable offloading IP fragment processing to NP7 processors, see ip-fragment-offload {disable | enable}.
