FortiCloud Subscriptions

On the Settings > FortiCloud Subscriptions page, you can view activated and available seats for FortiClient EMS Cloud and FortiIdentity Cloud. You can also activate seats.

Charts at the top of the page display:

Chart	Description
Seat activation status	Displays the number of activated FortiClient EMS Cloud and FortiIdentity Cloud seats as well as the number of seats available for activation.
Seat count timeline	Displays the timeline for activated FortiClient EMS Cloud and FortiIdentity Cloud seats.

Below the charts, you can access the following buttons:

Button	Description
Activate seats	Select FortiClient EMS Cloud or FortiIdentity Cloud, and click Activate seats to activate seats.

The table displays the following information about FortiCloud subscriptions:

Column	Description
Subscriptions	Displays the name of available subscriptions. Hover the mouse over the Subscriptions column to display and click the Configure Table gear icon to customize the column headings.
Seats Available for Activation	Displays how many seats are not yet activated.
Seats Activated	Displays how many seats have been activated.

Activating free seats

The following information explains how to activate free entitlements for FortiClient EMS Cloud and FortiIdentity Cloud in the FortiGate Cloud portal.

FortiGate devices registered with a FortiCare Premium or Elite contract (excluding FortiFlex/FortiPoints, EA, and FortiSASE contracts) are eligible for free service seats:

FortiIdentity Cloud			48 seats maximum (16 subscriptions maximum)

After logging in to FortiGate Cloud, a notification appears informing you free seats are available for activation. The notification provides details about the available seats and a link to the FortiCloud Subscriptions page, where the free seats can be activated. Alternatively, go to Dashboard > Status, where the FortiCloud Subscriptions widget displays the number of available free seats. Click View full details to open the FortiCloud Subscriptions page.

To activate the free seats for your account, register the device in FortiCloud from the Asset Management page using a FortiCare Premium or Elite license, then open FortiGate Cloud and go to the FortiCloud Subscriptions page to review and activate the available free entitlement. After activation, log in to FortiIdentity Cloud or FortiClient EMS Cloud with your FortiCloud account and use the service with the activated free entitlement.

To activate free seats:

1. Register a FortiGate if you have not done so already. See Registering assets.

2. Register your FortiCare Premium or FortiCare Elite license. On the Registration Info page, assign the license to a FortiGate in your account.

3. After registration, return to the FortiGate Cloud Portal.

4. Go to Settings > FortiGate Cloud Subscriptions. Verify that the number Seats Available for Activation has increased.
5. Select a subscription and click Activate Seats. The Pending Activation tab displays:
   • Devices with eligible FortiCare contracts
   • The number of seats granted per device

   Devices are grouped by contract expiration date. Newly registered devices are listed at the bottom.

6. Select the device.

7. Click OK to activate the seats.

To view activated seats:

• In FortiGate Cloud, open the FortiCloud Subscriptions page, select a subscription, click Activate Seats, and then open the Activated tab.
• In FortiIdentity Cloud, log in and go to the Dashboard. The activated seats appear in the Users / Max Users section.
• In FortiClient EMS Cloud, the activated seats appear in Dashboard > Status, under Licensed.
