FortiDLP Agent optional requirements

The FortiDLP Agent provides optional web and email monitoring. To use this functionality, the following applications are required.

Note

For Windows, also note:

  • The FortiDLP Email Plugin (Legacy) requires .NET framework 4.8+ and Visual Studio Tools for Office Runtime to be installed.
  • The FortiDLP Email Add-in requires Microsoft Outlook version 2304+ and Agent 10.4.0+ to inspect Microsoft Information Protection labels in email headers and Agent 10.1.3+ to inspect email attachments.
Caution

Only deploy the FortiDLP Email Add-in to users whose devices have the FortiDLP Agent installed and meet the above requirements. Failure to meet these conditions will cause a pop-up message to display for users each time they send an email.
