Clipboard monitoring
Clipboard monitoring enables the FortiDLP Agent to identify threats through users' clipboard activity. For details about the support provided per OS, see FortiDLP Agent feature matrix.
With clipboard monitoring, the Agent can detect when users:
- copy or cut text from an unauthorized site
- copy text from an unauthorized application, and
- paste text to an unauthorized site.
Clipboard monitoring must be enabled using Agent configuration groups after Agent deployment. For instructions, refer to the FortiDLP Administration Guide. Additionally, clipboard policies are required. For details, refer to the FortiDLP Policies Reference Guide.

On macOS, policies related to pasting to desktop applications only monitor pastes via keyboard shortcuts. |
