Adding Cameras to Nearby Viewing
Nearby camera viewing improves your ability to switch between cameras to monitor a specific subject, like an individual, as they travel from one camera to the next. To define cameras as being nearby to one another, they must be added to the nearby camera list.
To add cameras to the nearby camera list
- Select the Settings button.
- Go to Settings > Cameras.
- Select the camera in the main table and drag it to the Nearby Camera List.
- Change the order of cameras in the Nearby Camera List by dragging the camera to a new position in the list.
- Select OK.
The nearby camera feature works from the pane menu and from a live or playback video. Right-click on a video to bring up the menu and select Show nearby cameras.
By default, the source camera and its nearby cameras are switched to empty panes on the layout; however, we recommend using the scratch pad pane feature to show the group of cameras in a defined part of the screen layout.
