FortiCASB 24.1.a Release Highlights

Data Protection Update

  • EDM (Exact Data Match) is supported as a Customized DLP Data Pattern. EDM allows specific sensitive data to be scanned by a predefined dataset and triggers an alert when a match is detected. Users can define predefined dataset through a CSV file, upload it through Exact Data Match category when creating a Customized Data Pattern.
  • Trusted List is redesigned to work in conjunction with Data Security Policies. Through integration of Trusted List. When trusted user or domain is added to a Data Security Policy, file sharing with external users can be monitored and trigger alerts.
  • Owner exposure type is removed from Data Protection Discovery dashboard to clear redundancy and reveal actual exposure types.

Overview Update

  • Global Alerts from all SaaS applications are added to Overview - all SaaS applications alerts are aggregated and displayed in a single place to ease access to alerts across the entire protected environment.
  • Audit Log enhancements - all audit logs now have both Vendor and Content details for both external and internal audit types, and new filter option “User” introduced to enable search by FortiCASB users.
  • Malware File Quarantine Notification is moved from Audit log to Alerts to improve visibility.

Cloud Applications Update

  • Office 365 added the ability to configure which users are to be monitored through integration of Microsoft Entra ID. When Microsoft Entra ID is selected in the onboarding process, only the Office 365 users in the relevant Microsoft Entra ID AU will be monitored.
