Create the FortiAnalyzer-VMs
In this example, create two FortiAnalyzer-VMs for the HA cluster: fazha001 and fazha002.
To create the FortiAnalyzer-VMs for the HA cluster:
- To create a new resource in Azure, click Create a resource.
Note that the Prerequisite resources are also visible in the image below.
- Search for FortiAnalyzer, and click Create.
- In the Basics tab, enter the following information FortiAnalyzer:

FortiAnalyzer Version =
FortiAnalyzer 7.2.1 (BYOL)
FortiAnalyzer administrative username =

The password must be between 12 and 72 characters long, and it must contain characters from at least 3 of the following groups: uppercase characters, lowercase characters, numbers, and special characters.
- Click Next : Network and Instance Settings.
- In the Network and Instance Settings tab, select the Virtual Network settings from the Prerequisite:

Standard D4as v4
Standard D4as v4 has 4 vCPU and 16GB of RAM, which is the minimum requierment for FortiAnalyzer-VM.
- Click Next : FortiAnalyzer IP address assignment.
- In the FortiAnalyzer IP address assignment tab, enter the following information:
First public IP address resource name =
None
Public IP address type =
Static
- Click Next : Review + create to finish creating the FortiAnalyzer-VM.
- Repeat the previous steps to create the second FortiAnalyzer-VM.
For the second FortiAnalyzer-VM, the FortiAnalyzer virtual appliance name is
fazha002
. Use the same virtual network settings and IP address assignment.
