Adding device groups
With Device Manager, you can add a group, and then add devices to this group. These groups allow you to organize your devices in the navigation tree.
To add a device group:
- Click Add Group. The Add Group dialog appears.
- Configure these settings:
Name Type the name of the device group that can be referenced by other parts. Description Optionally, enter a description for the group, such as its geographic location. The variable added here is used in the command line of Jobs > Config File Management below:
xx1Variables for a group will apply to all devices once the configuration is pushed.
If the variable name for a group is the same as that of a device, the variable for the device shall be prioritized.
- Click OK, and the newly added group can be found on the left pane below:
