Configuring account codes

Configuring account codes

You can set account codes to restrict long-distance and international calls, for instance. Users must dial these codes first before making long-distance or international calls.

You apply the account codes in user privileges. For details, see Configuring user privileges.

To set an account code

  1. Go to Security > User Privilege > Account Code.
  2. Click New and configure the following:

    GUI field

    Description

    Name

    Enter an account code name.

    Description

    Enter any notes you may have for the account code.

    Shared

    Select to use this code on any extension.

    Represented in CDR

    Select to display the account code by code or name in CDR. For information about CDR, see Viewing call records.

    Access Code Set

    Click New to enter the account code such as 69, display name for the code such as Finance, and any notes for the code.

    Click Create.

  3. Click Create.
