Upgrade instructions

You can use the FortiTester web UI to upgrade the firmware image.

To upgrade to FortiTester 7.3.2, it is best to upgrade from version 7.0.0 or later. Users with versions before 7.0.0 should first upgrade to 4.x then to 7.0.0, before upgrading to 7.3.2.

Before you begin:
  • Read the Release Notes for the version you plan to install.
  • Back up your configuration (in the FortiTester web UI, click System > Reset/Backup/Restore > Backup).
  • Make note of the version your system is running before upgrade. Find it in the web UI Dashboard or with the CLI get system status command.

  • Download the appropriate image file for your device type from the Fortinet support website.
  • Place this image in the root directory of your running TFTP server.

If you are using the Test Center feature, Test Center Clients will be disconnected during the upgrade, and must be reconnected after the upgrade is completed.
