Upgrade Information
Fortinet provides a managed upgrade service for FortiSOAR Cloud customers to simplify and streamline the upgrade process.
Release 7.6.6 aligns with updated CA certificates from the FortiGuard Distribution Network (FDN), ensuring secure communication and stable license synchronization. Users on releases 7.6.5 or earlier are encouraged to upgrade to release 7.6.6 or later to obtain the updated CA certificates.
Upgrade requests can be initiated through the FortiSOAR Cloud portal or by opening a Support ticket. Resource expansion requests for a FortiSOAR Cloud instance can also be submitted.
Upgrading a FortiSOAR Cloud instance
An upgrade request can be submitted using one of the following methods:
Using the FortiSOAR Cloud Portal
- Log in to the FortiSOAR Cloud Portal and navigate to the instance page.
- On the
Manage Instancepage, click the Initiate Upgrade Request button in theUpgradesection:
- Selecting Initiate Upgrade Request opens the
Create Upgrade Requestform. Verify or provide the following details:- Account Name (Read Only): Pre-populated and read-only based on the logged-in account.
- Account Email ID (Read Only): Pre-populated and read-only based on the logged-in account.
- Primary Account ID (Read Only): Pre-populated and read-only based on the logged-in account.
- Type of Deployment (Enterprise, Multitenant, Cluster): Select the appropriate deployment type based on your requirements:
- Enterprise: Standalone instances with license type set to 'Enterprise'.
- Multitenant: Instances with license type set to 'multitenant'.
- Cluster: Instances that are part of a High Availability (HA) cluster.
NOTES:- For HA Clusters that containing instances with license type set to 'multitenant', select 'Multitenant.'
- For clustered deployments, submit separate upgrade requests for each system in the cluster
- Upgrade Path: Specify the upgrade path from the supported options.
- Instance ID (Read Only): Pre-populated and read-only based on the current instance.
- After completing the form, click the Submit Upgrade Request button. A confirmation pop-up displays the upgrade details.
Submitting the form sends an email to the Fortinet Support team, which creates a support ticket on your behalf and initiates contact to complete the upgrade.
Submitted requests are available in the in the 'Upgrade' section of theManage Instancepage.
Opening a Support ticket
- Create a Support ticket for upgrade. Include the following information:
- Account Name
- Account Email ID
- Primary Account ID
- Type of Deployment: Specify the appropriate deployment type based on your requirements, from the following options:
- Enterprise: Standalone instances with license type set to 'Enterprise'.
- Multitenant: Instances with license type set to 'multitenant'.
- Cluster: Instances that are part of an HA cluster.
NOTES:- For HA Clusters that containing instances with license type set to 'multitenant', select 'Multitenant.'
- For clustered deployments, submit separate upgrade requests for each system in the cluster
- Upgrade Path: Specify the upgrade path from the supported options
- Instance ID
- The Support team initiates contact to complete the upgrade process and sends a notification upon completion. The ticket is then closed.
Expanding resources for a FortiSOAR Cloud Instance
Additional resources can be purchased to expand a FortiSOAR Cloud instance. Each SKU provides 1000 GB storage, 8 GB RAM, and 4 vCPUs.
After purchasing the SKU, complete the following steps:
- Register the contract for additional resources on the Support portal.
- Create a Support ticket for resource expansion. Include the following information:
- Account ID
- Service Region
- Instance ID
- Serial Number
- The Support team manages the expansion process and sends a notification upon completion. The ticket is then closed.
