Viewing Application Information

To view application information, open the CMDB page and click Applications in the left panel. Expand Applications to see all of the subgroups belonging to it. Click Applications, or on one of its subgroups, to see the applications in the table associated with that group. The icons above the panel allow you to add, edit, and delete subgroups. System-defined subgroups cannot be deleted nor edited. For more information on managing application groups, see Working with Application Groups. To add an application, see Adding an Application.

The headings and numbers at the top of the page represent the number of application processes that are running for a application group/sub-group. Click the heading to see the application/processes associated with the application group.

The table on the right of the page displays a list of all of the applications known to FortiSIEM. The table contains columns such as the App Group, App Name, Process, and so on.

On the CMDB page you can do the following:

• Create, edit, and delete applications by clicking the New, Edit, and Delete buttons.
• Get more information about an application by hovering over App Name, clicking ‚, and selecting Details. A sidebar will appear with the following tabs: Summary and Running On.

Tab	Description
Summary	The Summary tab provides the name of the application, the number of processes the application is running, and the names of the processes.
Running On	Provides Access IP, Device Name, Process Name, Path, Service, and Status information if available.

Adding an Application

Complete these steps to add an application:

1. Click CMDB and select the application group under Applications on the left panel.
2. Click New.
3. In the Add New Application dialog box, enter the information related to the Application.
4. To add an IP to the Application, click the edit icon near Running on.
   1. Click Add by IP and enter the IP in the search box.
   2. Click the tick mark.
5. Click Save.
   The new application appears in the list.
